Can the United States learn from foreign medical insurance systems?
Abstract
After data are given on trends in health care expenditures in several nations, selected health care cost indicators in Canada and in the United States are contrasted in more detail; and a study of the Canadian health care insurance system is criticized. Finally some broader questions on the nature of U.S. social policy are raised.
