Abstract

As the decade of the '90s begins, laboratory information system (LIS) suppliers are aggressively pursuing the use of new technologies to enhance the performance, accessibility, convenience and portability of their laboratory information systems. The past year has shown some exciting progress in new developments in laboratory information systems. This article will provide a brief summary of each of these innovations in laboratory information systems.
