Case study. Centura Health--two faiths in alliance
Abstract
Threatened with increased for-profit competition, two Colorado hospital systems--one Catholic and the other Adventist--decided to joint forces. Leaders of that alliance--Centura Health--believe it has the edge over its competition because of its not-for-profit status and its geographic coverage, the best in the state. Will Centura succeed? Experts say the jury is still out, but prospects look good.
