Criteria help hospitals evaluate vendor proposals
Abstract
A healthcare organization that is acquiring an information system should use a comprehensive selection process that starts with an assessment of its needs. A hospital in Massachusetts developed a list of criteria to review vendors. The vendors were ranked based on how they scored on the weighted criteria. The rankings enabled the hospital's leadership team to select a vendor that best met the institution's needs.
