Medicare program; hospice care--HCFA. Proposed rule
Abstract
These proposed regulations would implement section 122 of Pub. L. 97-248, the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982, that provides coverage for hospice care for terminally ill Medicare beneficiaries who elect to receive care from a participating hospice. The regulations would establish eligibility requirements, covered services, reimbursement procedures, and the conditions a hospice must meet to be approved for participation in the Medicare program.
