Abstract
This article focuses on attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents and includes practical information on assessment and treatment. Other disorders, which may be either comorbid with ADHD or mistaken for ADHD, are reviewed in less detail. Psychologic, behavioral, and educational interventions are described, and indications for referring a child to a mental health specialist are included.
