[Giant condyloma of the penis. Clinical case]
Abstract
Objective: To report an uncommon case of giant penile condyloma.
Methods/results: The patient was treated surgically by denudation and fulguration due to the extent of the penile lesion before treatment with topical podophyllin. The histopathological study was determinant in the diagnosis and the postoperative results were excellent. Papillomavirus infection and B. Lowenstein tumor are discussed.
Conclusions: It is recommended to start treatment with topical podophyllin. If the lesion does not improve, resection and fulguration of the condyloma should be performed. The patient should be followed closely for recurrence.
