Colposcopy: a prerequisite for cone biopsy
Abstract
Colposcopy should be an integral part of the diagnostic investigation of all patients with cervical neoplasia demonstrated by Pap smear. If a cone biopsy is necessary, the surgery can be directed. This will improve diagnostic accuracy as well as reduce morbidity, expense and disability.
