The establishment and development of chiropractic in Tennessee, 1910-1994
Abstract
Tennessee was to see the first practitioners of the new alternative school of chiropractic within the second decade of chiropractic. This paper deals with the earliest recorded roots of the profession by individual chiropractors and the major legislative issues and organizational evolution in the state. Consideration is given to the influence of the Nashville College of Chiropractic, the longest continuous early school in the South (1936-1947).
