Assessing fatigue in patients with COPD

Abstract

Chronic fatigue is common in patients with chronic respiratory diseases and is distinct from dyspnoea and depression. Nurses in one study were able intuitively to recognise fatigue in patients and thought an assessment tool would assist their patient care.
