Abstract
PIP: The relevance of the multistate approach to the analysis of nuptiality is considered. Multistate life tables of marriage are constructed using official Bulgarian data for 1975. Four types of marital status are considered, namely, unmarried, married, divorced, and widowed. The probabilities of transition from one state to another and of length of duration in a given state are calculated. (summary in ENG, RUS)
