Abstract

PIP: This article accompanies "Selectivity and the Analysis of Birth Intervals in Survey Data" by Rindfuss, Palmore and Bumpass in the same issue. The selectivity bias is illustrated through definition of the term "relative bias" (RB) and derivation of an equation to represent it.
