Abstract

PIP: Trends in mortality from cardiovascular diseases in Russia are analyzed for the period 1990-1996. A separate analysis is presented for the Moscow region. Information is also included on other causes of death such as accidents, cancer, and pulmonary effects. Differences in life expectancy by sex are also considered. Some comparisons are made to other developed countries.
