[Demographic responses to an economic event in rural Spain during the ancien regime]
Abstract
PIP: Various methods of historical demography that are used to study demographic responses to short-range economic variations are examined. The author then demonstrates an analytical model for the analysis of regional variations in mortality, fertility, and nuptiality in eight different locations in rural Spain during the period 1692-1830.
