Psychosocial influences on pain perceptions in cancer
Abstract
This article provides an overview of the literature on the psychological and social factors that may affect a patient's perception and expression of pain. The author examines the experiences of people with cancer pain and looks at a range of factors, such as age and culture, that affect how patients perceive and describe their pain.
