Intramural hematoma of the duodenum
Abstract
A case concerning a patient with an intramural hematoma involving the first and second portions of the duodenum was presented with a brief review of etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, and management. An intramural hematoma usually occurs after blunt trauma, manifesting clinically as a high small bowel obstruction with a palpable mass. Roentgenograms usually confirm the diagnosis and treatment in simple evacuation of the hematoma.
