[Persistence of immunity after hepatitis B vaccination]

[Article in Polish]
Kazimierz Madaliński. Przegl Epidemiol. 2002.

Abstract

The paper recalls different preparations of vaccines (including these containing S, preS1 and preS2 antigens), schemes of vaccinations and their effects. The possible causes of hyporeactivity to hepatitis B vaccines, both technical and dependent on deficiency of immunity, or immunogenetic profile of a vaccine were discussed. The persistence of anti-HBs responses after natural infection and post-vaccination was compared. Finally, a possibility of persistence of post-vaccination cellular immunity for at least 15 years was discussed.
