Abstract

A 1 per cent Vitamin A-acid solution was applied externally for 2 weeks on normal epidermis. The result was an acute dermatitis, characterized by hyperproliferation and shortened phases of cell cycle. There was no increase in the proliferative activity of lymphoid cells in the moderate dermal infiltrate.
