Abstract

Aim: To study the chemical constituents from Corallodiscus flabellata.

Methods: The compounds were isolated and purified by macroporous adsorption resin, silica gel column chromatography and identified on the basis of their physiochemical and spectral data.

Results: Three phenylethanoid glycosides (I-III) were obtained from the n-BuOH fraction of water-extracts. Their structures were elucidated as 3,4-dihydroxyphenylethanol-8-O-[beta-D-apiofuranosyl (1-->3)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (I), 3,4-dihydroxyphenylethanol-8-O-[4-O-trans-caffeoyl-beta-D-apiofuranosyl (1-->3)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (II) and 3,4-dihydroxyphenylethanol-8-O-[beta-D-apiofuranosyl(1-->3)-beta- D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (III).

Conclusion: Compounds I, II and III are new compounds.
