Abstract

Three peptides located in the N-terminal region of the potato virus X coat protein were synthesized by hand solid phase method for epitope mapping of this protein. One of these peptides (nanopeptide) interacted with monoclonal antibodies to native virus X. On the basis of these studies it was assumed, that amino acid sequence of the potato virus X coat protein, which included lysine residue in position 19, is located on the virion surface.
