Abstract

The status quo of the Order on Animal Welfare in farmed Animals is described. After being amended in February 2002, it provides, beside a general part, special chapters on the keeping of calves and of laying hens. Further special chapters on the keeping of pigs and of fur animals are to be included in the near future.
