Abstract
Wilms' tumor is the most common solid malignancy of the urinary tract in infants. The unique aspects related to this tumor are the combined management consisting of surgeons; oncologists and pathologist who have brought the cure rates from 30% to almost 80%-95%. This article reviews the various aspects related to this tumor, including a short summary from the various International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) and the National Wilms' Tumor Study Group (NWTSG) studies.
