The utility of serum thyroglobulin in the screening for the iodine deficiency disorder, excess iodine was analyzed, and advantages and limitations were also summarized. Serum thyroglobulin was more sensitive than serum thyrotropin in the feedback of iodine status and a useful indicator deserved to be recommend.
