The problem of ductal carcinoma in situ of the breast
Abstract
Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of the breast is a problem seen with increasing frequency as a result of the more widespread use of mammography. Treatment options are discussed together with on-going clinical trials seeking to determine the role of radiotherapy and tamoxifen in breast conservation treatment for DCIS.
