Elimination of 131-I-labelled protein antigens from the circulation of the mouse
Abstract
The elimination of 131I-labelled BGG from the circulation of the mouse has been used as a measure of the immune response to BGG. It has been shown that intravenous injection of BGG solution alone is an unreliable method of immunization. Successful immunization was obtained after subcutaneous injection of Freund's adjuvant containing BGG.
BSA and HSA have short biological half-lives in adult CBA mice. They are therefore unsuitable for use with the antigen elimination technique.
