Fluorescent proteint tracer studies in allergic reactions. II. The fate of fluorescent antigen in reversed Arthus reactions and passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in guinea-pig skin
Abstract
The fate of lissamine-rhodamine-labelled bovine serum albumin was studied in reversed Arthus reactions and PCA. In reversed Arthus reactions there were accumulations of antigen in the subendothelial spaces and in the endothelial cell layer of vessel walls and the lumina of capillaries and venules as well as extracellularly. After some time granuolcytes took up antigen. In PCA the deposits in vessel walls were not impressive but clearly demonstrable; granulocytes take up antigen within 5 minutes.
