The health of mothers and fathers with a child with a disability
Abstract
Iris Cairns examined the different effects on the health of mothers and fathers when they have a child with a disability. Both have a higher incidence of psychiatric morbidity than parents in the general population, with the mothers' health more significantly affected than that of the fathers, her study revealed.
