[Knowledge, technique and the nurse..]
Abstract
The relationships maintained between treatment practices and theoretical knowledge of nursing techniques can be clarified by an analysis of treatment in general. Commencing from a reassessment regarding the treatment and structure of the theoretical knowledge concerned, the author proposes a systematic distinction between knowledge and practical technique. This distinction would permit the establishment of two distinct research domains: fundamental research and practical research.
