Bringing electrolytes to life: an imagery game
Abstract
Stimulating the interest of nursing students in impersonal physiological processes, such as fluid and electrolyte exchanges, is a challenge for nurse educators. Facilitating the students' understanding beyond a superficial level may be a greater challenge. The author developed an imagery game that will bring electrolytes to life for nursing students. Imagery gaming, a new concept, could be used to teach many applied physiological processes.
