Renal diseases of occupational origin
Abstract
Environmental toxicants, including those from industrial sources, represent potentially preventable causes of chronic kidney disease. The etiology of chronic renal failure of recognized occupational origin (other than malignancies) is reviewed, including that for heavy metals, organic solvents, beryllium, and silicon.
