Abstract
The United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting (UKCC) has again declared its position on the subject of accountability by publishing the third edition of its Code of Professional Conduct for the Nurse, Midwife and Health Visitor and a new The Scope of Professional Practice. This article examines what these documents mean for professional nursing practice.
