Pain in childhood and adolescence: diagnosis, smokescreen or everyday complaints?
Abstract
A large number of adolescents complain of headaches, backache, abdominal pain and pain in the limbs.
Conclusion: Teachers and health personnel should be educated in health promoting strategies to avoid medicalisation of health complaints, and to promote functional ability through structural approaches.
