Acute liver failure in a renal transplant patient caused by adenoviral hepatitis superimposed on a fibrosing cholestatic hepatitis B
Abstract
We report the first case of fulminant liver failure due to necrotizing adenovirus hepatitis superimposed on a fibrosing cholestatic hepatitis B in an immunosuppressed patient after renal transplantation. Diagnosis was made in vivo by liver biopsy and confirmed at autopsy.
