Abstract

The authors present in a review contemporary views on the pathogenesis, classification and diagnosis of Perthes disease. At the same time they indicate possible therapeutic interventions and discuss their justification. They emphasize the demand of close collaboration of the paediatrician and orthopaedic surgeon.
