Risk management in neonatal research
Abstract
Good clinical research should be encouraged and supported. However, although it is essential for medicine to advance, clinical research involves risks for patients, researchers and organisations. Risk management acknowledges that risks exist. It involves adherence to good standards of practice, the means to demonstrate good practice and ensuring that mechanisms are in place to deal with problems that might arise.
