Management of inhaled and swallowed foreign bodies

Abstract

Although accidental inhalation or ingestion episodes are very rare, the consequences can be very serious for the patient, so it is important when the total number of courses of dental treatment performed each year are considered. This article discusses the causes, likely sequelae and management strategies adopted following such incidents.
