Diabetes and nutrition: the latest thinking on dietary management
Abstract
Dietary management is an important part of the care of people with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. This article examines the latest thinking on diet, including use of the plate model, based on recommended percentages of foods from the five food groups, and dispels some common myths about food and diabetes.
