Abstract

Meth use is associated with HIV infection and high rates of sexually transmitted diseases among men who have sex with men in Los Angeles and New York City. But it's also associated with high-risk sexual and infection behavior among rural white women and other heterosexuals in Tennessee, new research shows. Researchers discuss the problems they've encountered with meth use and how it has been linked to HIV infection in some populations.
