[Encephalopathy and encephalitis--influenza-associated neurological sequels]
Abstract
We would like to present chosen neurological sequels post viral infections--viruses of influenza A and B. Unfortunately pathogenesis of encephalopathy and encephalitis after infection with viruses of influenza is still unclear. This problem seems very important because a most of neurological cases--encephalopathy and encephalitis after influenza concerns children and adolescents, who haven't yet full immunological protecting mechanisms. The basic manner of protection against influenza and all post influenza sequels is immunization, repeated every epidemiological season. This method is the most effective against viruses of flu.
