The pluripotent hemopoietic stem cell: its identification and applications
Abstract
The experiments leading to the concept of a pluripotent hemopoietic stem cell (PHSC) are reviewed. The identification and morphological characteristics of the PHSC are presented and a number of current and prospective applications of grafts of PHSC are described.
