[Non-sporogenous anaerobes in the microflora of carious teeth]
Abstract
Microflora of carious cavities was examined in 38 children. The authors describe the methods for anaerobic microflora isolation and microflora composition. Obligate anaerobes make up 70 percent of the total number of microorganisms. Anaerobic microorganisms are isolated in associations in 84 percent of cases. Bacterial associations are analyzed in detail, and the ratio of obligate to facultative anaerobes is presented, which depends on the activity of the carious process.
