Abstract

A new flavonoid, gossypetin-8,3',4'-trimethyl ether (3,5-dihydroxytrimethoxyflavone) was isolated and its structure elusidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods. The known flavonoids luteolin-7, 3'-dimethyl ether and luteolin-3'-methyl ether were also isolated.
