Primary peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumour of the orbit

Cengaver Tamer et al. Can J Ophthalmol. 2007 Feb.

Abstract

Case report: We present the clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic features of an orbital mass in a 10-year-old boy. Immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of primary peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumour.

Comments: This recently recognized rare tumour of the orbit should be considered in the differential diagnosis of hypercellular small round cell tumour of the orbit.
