Blunt ocular trauma in one eye: a photo documentation

Abstract

Blunt ocular trauma can cause both structural and functional damage to the eye. We present a 13-year-old male who suffered a blunt injury with a wooden stick. Ocular examination revealed all the classic seven rings of trauma. Although ocular examination should always focus on these signs, all the signs are rarely present in a patient presenting with blunt trauma. Despite multistructural damage, the patient regained useful vision with medical management alone.
