The Genomics Program of the Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at NIAID, National Institutes of Health, has established a number of publicly accessible resources, which focus on microbial genome sequencing (two MSCs), functional genomics (a Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center), proteomics (seven PRCs), and bioinformatics (eight BRCs), to support researchers conducting biodefense basic and applied research to develop vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics.
