Sulfur: A New High-Pressure Form
Abstract
Under high pressures and elevated temperatures, rhombic sulfur is converted to a new cubic form; this form was quenched at room temperature and pressure and studied by x-ray diffraction. Phase boundaries for this new form have been established.
