Evidence based medicine methods (part 1): the basics
Abstract
Evidence based medicine (EBM) is a potent patient centered clinical learning strategy. EBM facilitates efficient robust decision making on an individual patient basis. It provides the framework and tools to rapidly and effectively find answers to specific clinical questions and educate others. At the core of EBM is clinical judgement. This is the ability to combine clinical experience and expertise with the best available evidence in the literature to answer a specific pediatric anesthesia question.
