How mice cope with stressful social situations
Abstract
Individuals differ greatly in their psychological responses to chronic stress. As a step toward understanding the neural basis for these individual differences, Krishnan et al. (2007) reveal molecular changes in the brain's reward circuits that make some mice resistant to the effects of social defeat.
