Abstract

In the present work we obtained three mAbs specific against gp65 of the strain L. mexicana mexicana (NR). These three mAbs were able of recognizing promastigotes of L.m.m. not only for immunofluorescence but also by immunostain. In the immunohistochemistry of biopsies of patients with leishmaniasis, using the three mAbs, it was possible to observe the presence of amastigotes in the infected tissues.
