A new biomedical paradigm that combines the anatomical paradigm of disease and the Mendelian quantized paradigm of genetics from the eukaryotic nucleus–cytosol organism (left quadrants) with the energetic paradigm of health and the mtDNA quantitative paradigm of genetics of the eukaryotic mitochondrial organism (right quadrants). When combined, the top two quadrants provide an integrated perspective of environmental interactions (evolutionary medicine) and the lower two quadrants provide a coherent explanation of human inheritance (genetic medicine).
